The College of Engineering (CoE) of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) successfully conducted the CoE Research and Extension Writeshop: Fostering Strategic Innovation and Evidence-Based Community Impact on November 13–14, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the CoE AVR, 4th Floor, CoE Building, USeP Obrero, Davao City.
The two-day activity gathered CoE faculty members and selected undergraduate students for an intensive capacity-building session aimed at strengthening the College’s research and extension initiatives. The writeshop focused on developing technically sound and program-aligned proposals, enhancing participants’ ability to craft innovative project concepts, and improving the packaging of progress and terminal reports.
Aligned with the College’s commitment to evidence-based and results-driven community engagement, the activity equipped participants with the skills to design impact-oriented programs and projects that contribute to sustainable development. The writeshop also served as a venue to present updates on the College’s Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) roadmap and agenda, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.
Throughout the event, participants submitted their outputs digitally for evaluation, allowing for timely feedback and refinement of their research and extension proposals. The writeshop concluded with strengthened collaboration, renewed commitment to innovation, and a clearer direction for advancing the CoE’s research and community extension efforts.
