She noted that regardless of oneโ€™s field of specialization, the ultimate goal remains the same, and that is to produce research that contributes meaningfully to the ever-expanding body of knowledge. It sets the tone of a deeply rooted intellectual collaboration and scholarly purpose.
Delivering the inspirational message, VPAA Nueva underscored the challenges of the research process. She said, โ€œIn every inquiry, there is always uncertainty. Process of Trial and Error.โ€ While acknowledging its tedious nature, she commended the participants for their perseverance, recognizing them as part of the few who endure and succeed. Dr. Nueva highlighted consistency as a fundamental key to effective research and encouraged scholars to remain committed to their passions. She further emphasized that research is not merely an academic requirement but a transformative skill.
Providing the rationale for the event, Dr. Ariel C. Pedrano highlighted the integration of academic programs to generate knowledge aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and with the University and College Research Agenda. He reiterated the Institutionโ€™s vision of becoming a premier research university, reminding participants of their role in achieving this collective aspiration.
