USeP CARES Volunteerism is intended to institutionalize the culture of volunteerism across all USeP campuses and delivery units, ensuring that service remains at the core of USeP’s academic and community engagement.
Anchored on the core values of USeP which are Collaboration, Accountability, Resilience, Excellence, Service oriented (CARES) and guided by the 3Ks of Volunteerism from Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) — Kusa (free will), Kapwa (for others), and Kapalit na bayad hindi hangad (not driven by material reward), USeP CARES Volunteerism aims to embed volunteerism in education, research, extension, and production, contributing to sustainable development and community empowerment.

University-Led Volunteerism
University-wide or delivery unit-led volunteer activities endorsed by USeP.
Partner-Led Volunteerism
Volunteer activities initiated by external organizations (e.g., NGOs, LGUs, partner institutions) with the knowledge of the University, where USeP members participate.
Personal Volunteerism
Voluntary engagement of individual members of the USeP community in activities that contribute to the welfare of others or the community, driven by personal values, interests, or a sense of civic responsibility.

Not at all! Most activities are open to all skill levels. Orientation and training are provided when needed.
Absolutely! USeP CARES encourages initiative. You can coordinate with the Public Affairs Division to propose and lead your own community-based project.
There’s no strict minimum. You can choose activities that fit your schedule—whether it’s a one-time event or a long-term project.
Yes. Volunteers receive certificates of participation, and outstanding volunteers may be recognized during university events or through the USeP CARES Volunteerism Recognition of Outstanding Volunteers.
