The 47th USeP Founding Anniversary Celebration officially blazed to life on December 1, 2025, as campuses across the University synchronized in a powerful, symbolic kick-off titled Pagpupugay. From north to south, every unit stood illuminated, connected not by distance but by a shared history and a collective vision for tomorrow.

The moment unfolded live through the USeP Facebook page, where USeP community and viewers joined the celebration online. The Tagum-Mabini Campus, Tagum and Mabini Units amplified the event by projecting their respective lighting sites, turning their spaces into glowing landmarks of unity, pride, and institutional spirit.

Representing the Tagum Unit at the booth was USeP TMC Chancellor, Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva, while the Mabini Unit was led by Vice Chancellor and CARS Dean, Dr. Cesar A. Limbaga Jr. They were joined by students, faculty, and staff. The Tagum Unit’s lighting site, located at the Administration Building, stood as a vibrant centerpiece of the night. Meanwhile, the Mabini Unit illuminated its main entrance along the national highway, transforming the landmark into a beacon welcoming community near and far.

Gracing the ceremony, USeP President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales Jr. delivered an inspiring message:

“Our theme, “USeP@47: Building Dreams. Elevating Excellence. Empowering Communities,” captures the essence of who we are and who we continue to aspire to be. Forty-seven years have not been a simple journey. Across nearly five decades, USeP has weathered crises, risen above challenges, and continued to transform lives. We opened doors to opportunities, reached more communities, and brought education to places where new possibilities begin.”

Dr. Gabales then led the ceremonial lighting sequence across all campuses, marking a shared moment of brilliance and renewed purpose.
