Strengthening its partnership in developing the country’s future leaders, the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) paid a courtesy visit to the University of Southeastern Philippines Tagum-Mabini Campus (USeP TMC) ahead of the 2026 PMA Entrance Examination, reaffirming its commitment to expanding opportunities for aspiring cadets in the region on July 8, 2026.

The delegation received a warm welcome from USeP TMC Chancellor Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva. During the meeting, both institutions discussed their mutual commitment to providing accessible opportunities for students aspiring to pursue careers in military leadership and public service. The discussion also emphasized the University’s ongoing support as one of the official testing centers for the highly competitive PMA admission process.

During the courtesy visit, Major Ralph Niño Rosales PA provided an overview of the PMA Entrance Examination. He outlined the qualifications, application process, examination coverage, and the rigorous training that awaits successful applicants. Major Rosales encouraged qualified senior high school graduates and eligible college students to seize the opportunity to become future leaders of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. He emphasized that the Academy seeks individuals who embody integrity, discipline, courage, academic excellence, and an unwavering commitment to serving the Filipino people.

The discussion also explored avenues to strengthen collaboration between PMA and USeP to promote the admissions campaign across the University community. University officials expressed their support for initiatives that inspire students to pursue careers in national defense, leadership, and public service, while recognizing the PMA’s vital role in producing principled military officers who safeguard the nation’s sovereignty and security.

As part of the partnership, the PMA Entrance Examination is scheduled on July 11–12, 2026, at the USeP Tagum-Mabini Campus, Tagum Unit, providing aspiring cadets across the region with greater access to one of the country’s most prestigious military educational institutions.

The initiative contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by expanding access to quality higher education and leadership development opportunities, and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by encouraging the formation of ethical, competent, and service-oriented leaders who will help strengthen public institutions and uphold peace and national security.

The recent engagement was more than just a visit; it reaffirmed the shared vision of USeP and the PMA to nurture young Filipinos who lead with integrity, serve with honor, and dedicate their talents to nation-building.
