Discipline and execution came together on the parade ground as the ROTC Unit of the University of Southeastern Philippines Tagum–Mabini Campus (USeP TMC) delivered an impressive performance during the Provincial Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (PAATI) 2026. This event took place on April 27 at the USeP TMC, Tagum Unit Open Ground.

Representing USeP were TMC Chancellor Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva, National Service Training Program Head Dr. Virnalisi C. Mindaña, and NSTP Coordinator Mr. Ervin Roy V. Matucading, while PAATI was represented by Chairperson LTC Allan L. Rellon, CoP GSC (RES) and members of the PAATI team.

In her message to the corps, Chancellor Dr. Villanueva described the inspection as more than a checklist of drills, emphasizing it as a proving ground for discipline, teamwork, and responsibility, values that shape cadets into capable leaders and community defenders. The welcome message of USeP Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jeneifer C. Nueva, delivered by NSTP Head Dr. Mindaña, echoed this by urging cadets to demonstrate professionalism and excellence as they prepare for the demands of an ever-changing world.

The program began with arrival honors and a courtesy call, followed by a briefing from the commandant that established the operational tone for the event. A symbolic turnover of command and control signified the continuity of leadership within the corps. Next, the field became a stage for precision as participants showcased a ceremonial parade, synchronized drills, map reading, theoretical testing, manual of arms, and small-unit tactics. Each sequence was executed with discipline and coordination.

The results were clear. With a rating of 95.05%, the unit demonstrated its readiness, training quality, and command effectiveness, serving as a benchmark of excellence within the province.

This initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 by enhancing leadership development and experiential learning. Additionally, it contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 16 by promoting discipline, civic responsibility, and institutional integrity among future leaders.

Beyond mere scores and formations, PAATI 2026 leaves a lasting impact: cadets who move with purpose, lead with conviction, and embrace a profound sense of duty. In this environment, excellence was not just claimed, it was exemplified.
