The University of Southeastern Philippines Malabog Extension Campus (USeP MEC) successfully conducted a comprehensive seminar on “Cultural Sensitivity Awareness”, aimed at fostering understanding and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds among students and faculty members on November 20, 2025, at USeP Malabog Extension Campus, Barangay Malabog, Paquibato District, Davao City.
The program was graced by Dr. Noelyn D. Bahian, Off-site BSE Program Head, who emphasized the vital role that understanding and respecting diverse cultures play in fostering a peaceful and inclusive community. A highlight of the event was a talk on cultural sensitivity delivered by Ms. Divina Mae M. Tula, Planning Officer of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples in Region 11, a renowned speaker and advocate for cultural awareness. Her insightful discussion aimed to educate participants on the importance of understanding diverse cultural perspectives and fostering harmonious coexistence. Ms. Rachel Mae D. Barde-Maglasang, Off-site BSAB Program Head, delivered the closing remarks, expressing her heartfelt appreciation to the speakers, participants, and organizers for their active engagement and valuable contributions to the event’s success.
This event highlights USeP’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that values cultural diversity, a vital component in today’s globalized society.
