About Us

The University of Southeastern Philippines-Malabog Extension Campus (USeP-MEC) brings inclusive, culturally sensitive, and conflict-sensitive quality tertiary services closer to the communities situated in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantageous Areas (GIDAs). Currently, USeP-MEC offers two academic programs suited to the needs of the communities in the area: a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness and a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, per Board Resolution No. 176, s. 2021.

Mandate

The University of Southeastern Philippines – Malabog Extension Campus (USeP-MEC) is committed to providing accessible, quality higher education and relevant community development programs in the Paquibato District. As an extension of the university, it aims to foster academic excellence, research, and social responsibility, contributing to the socio-economic growth of the region.

Objectives

The University of Southeastern Philippines – Malabog Extension Campus (USeP MEC) is dedicated to providing accessible and inclusive quality education to students in the Paquibato community and surrounding areas. It aims to deliver relevant and innovative academic programs that address regional and national development needs, fostering lifelong learning, critical thinking, and academic excellence. The campus is committed to promoting research initiatives that tackle local issues and contribute to community growth and socio-economic progress. Active community engagement through extension services and partnerships is a core objective, ensuring that the universityโ€™s efforts directly benefit the local populace. Additionally, the institution strives for continuous institutional development by enhancing faculty expertise, upgrading facilities, and implementing effective governance to maintain high standards of instruction, research, and community service. Environmental sustainability is also a priority, with initiatives aimed at raising environmental awareness and adopting sustainable practices within the campus and community. Finally, the University seeks to prepare students for global opportunities by integrating international standards into its programs, thereby fostering graduates who are competitive and well-equipped to contribute positively to society both locally and globally.
