The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) continues to make its mark on the international stage as two outstanding students from the College of Engineering achieved remarkable success at the ASEAN Universities Exhibit and Forum (AEF) 2025 held at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Ms. Jan Marie Cirujano emerged as the Champion in the SDG Project Presentation (Young Talent Speakers Delegates Category) during the ASEAN Student Mobility and Winter Cultural Exchange Programme 2025. She, along with her group, delivered a compelling presentation showcasing innovative solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Meanwhile, Mr. Jan Laurance T. Guieb secured 2nd Place in the Innovation Competition at AEF 2025 with his groundbreaking project, GeoDrone (Geodetic Drone): A Community Land Sharing Initiative in Aid of Geographical Information System (GIS) Embedded with Random Forest (RF) Algorithm and Gray-Level Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) for Surveying and Monitoring System. The groupโs project showcased cutting-edge advancements in geospatial technology, providing an efficient and intelligent solution for land surveying and monitoring.
