The University of Southeastern Philippinesโ€“Mintal Campus officially marked the opening of the second semester for Academic Year 2025โ€“2026 through a three-part activity spearheaded by the College of Development Management. The event highlighted the campus communityโ€™s shared commitment to faith, renewal, and the pursuit of academic excellence.

The program commenced with a Eucharistic Mass, inviting students, faculty, and staff to reflect on personal growth and transformation. The homily emphasized the importance of approaching the new semester with sincerity, compassion, and purpose, encouraging everyone to โ€œdo everything with a heartโ€ as they navigate their academic and personal journeys.

This was followed by the Semestral Kick-Off Program, where newly appointed College of Development Management Dean, Dr. Grace Meroflor A. Lantajo, delivered an inspiring message to the academic community. She urged students to strive for excellence grounded in humility and purpose, underscoring that โ€œexcellence is not accidental-it is earned.โ€ Drawing from Proverbs 16:3, she reminded everyone to commit their work to what is good and just, reinforcing the value of intentional and principled action in academic life.

Campus Administrator Dr. Aristeo C. Salapa also addressed the community, providing key updates on campus developments. He reported the completion of improvements to the Annex Building, the readiness of the Academic Building for utilization, and the ongoing construction of the campus dormitory, which has reached 60% completion. Dr. Salapa likewise extended his congratulations to Dr. Lantajo on her appointment, expressing confidence that her leadership will further strengthen academic services and institutional effectiveness.

The program also featured the recognition of newly designated campus officials, followed by the awarding of Deanโ€™s Listers from various programs. These recognitions honored students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance in the previous semester, reflecting the universityโ€™s continued commitment to academic excellence.

Anchored in its alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 (Quality Education), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), USePโ€“Mintal Campus reaffirms its mission of translating global aspirations into meaningful local impact. The opening activity served not only as a ceremonial start to the semester but also as a renewed call for collective engagement in building a learning community grounded in faith, integrity, and excellence.

Padayon, USeP-Mintal Campus!
