Dr. Ceballos delivered a keynote lecture on 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀. In his presentation, he highlighted how modern causal inference methods enable researchers and decision-makers to move beyond identifying statistical associations toward estimating causal effects. He discussed how these approaches can be applied to rigorously evaluate the effectiveness of public policies, development programs, and institutional interventions, thereby generating stronger evidence for sustainable and data-driven decision-making.

The keynote also emphasized the growing role of statistical science in addressing complex societal challenges through robust impact evaluation, helping governments, development organizations, and researchers design and implement interventions that create meaningful and measurable outcomes.

Dr. Ceballos’ invitation as a keynote speaker reflects the recognition of his expertise in statistics and reinforces 𝗨𝗦𝗲𝗣’𝘀 commitment to advancing research excellence, fostering international academic collaboration, and promoting the application of statistics for public good.
