𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙝𝙪𝙖 𝘾𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙧 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙤, a 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 (𝙈𝘼𝙇𝙞𝙩) 𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙢𝙣𝙪𝙨 of the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP), f, organized by the 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗙𝗗𝗖𝗣) in partnership with the 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 (𝗔𝗙𝗔𝗡) and 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗣𝗮𝗦) training workshop.

As one of only sixteen participants, Mr. Medroso will join an intensive film laboratory in Metro Manila this August 9 to 14, where internationally acclaimed filmmakers and industry experts will mentor emerging directors in script development, project pitching, and international co- production. The program is designed to help participants refine their film projects and prepare them for broader industry and international opportunities.

Mr. Medroso will participate as the director of Lasto (Last Two), a dark comedy produced by Tin Velasco. Throughout the boot camp, the project will undergo further development through mentorship and collaborative workshops, marking another important step in its journey from concept to screen while highlighting the growing presence of USeP creatives in Philippine cinema.

From literature to cinema, Mr. Medroso continues to demonstrate how compelling storytelling can transcend artistic forms. His selection reflects not only his dedication to the craft of storytelling but also the strength of USeP’s creative community in nurturing artists whose work continues to gain recognition

beyond the university.
