𝘜𝘯𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘨𝘺𝘶𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘰 𝘴𝘢 𝘶𝘴𝘢 𝘬𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘬𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘥𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘢?
𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐍 proudly congratulates 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐚 for being one of the 101 contributors to 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐚𝐠𝐦𝐚𝐲 3 by the 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝, launched on February 28, 2026 in celebration of National Arts Month. The anthology, published in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, honors published works from 2013–2023, celebrating a decade of literary arts in the Davao Region.
In her poem, “𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍,” grief whispers through ordinary things – dry slippers, overcooked viands, silent walls. A quiet elegy that reminds us: sometimes, the loudest mourning lives in the smallest details.
This achievement reflects Ms. Jewel’s dedication, humility, and passion for the craft. The whole BALCS community proudly celebrates her success, hoping it inspires aspiring writers to pursue their voices with courage and confidence.
