Marking a milestone for the academic community, the Department of Forestry successfully held the highly anticipated “Forestry Licensure Examination (FLE) Passers Recognition, Forestry Festival, and Alumni Day Celebration” on 21 November 2025 at the University of Southeastern Philippines Tagum-Mabini Campus, Mabini Unit.

‎Opening with a motorcade and registration, the event proceeded with the singing of the Forester’s Hymn, reinforcing the noble responsibility of foresters as guardians of forests, biodiversity, and the welfare of communities.

‎Welcome messages were delivered by Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva, USeP TMC Chancellor and Dr. Cesar A. Limbaga Jr., USeP TMC Vice Chancellor and Dean of the College of Agriculture and Related Sciences. Both officials commended the 2025 FLE passers for their perseverance, discipline, and commitment to the profession.

‎The morning program also featured the presentation of certificates of recognition. Guest speakers, composed of forestry alumni and professionals shared valuable insights and words of encouragement. Newly licensed foresters likewise offered testimonies about their examination journey, inspiring aspiring foresters to pursue excellence and uphold integrity in their future practice.

‎The celebration continued in the afternoon with the “Root to Routes: Forestry Alumni Meet and Career Journey Exchange,” followed by festival games including sack race, tug of war, log rolling, axe race, and tree climbing. Each year level also presented performances that brought excitement, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of community to the event.

‎Overall, the activity emphasized USeP’s commitment to nurturing future foresters while strengthening connections among alumni, students, and newly licensed professionals.
