The College of Information and Computing (CIC), through the Mindanao Center for Informatics and Intelligent Systems (MCIIS), conducted a ceremonial turnover of the \u201cRecords of Barangay Inhabitants Management System (RoBIMS),\u201d an output of the research study \u201cDigital Transformation of LGUs in the Davao Region.\u201d This was done in partnership with Barangay Palma Gil, Talaingod, Davao del Norte, led by Barangay Captain and ABC President Hon. Pablo Tagnipes, who has been a key representative of the rural Barangay Local Government Units (BLGUs).<\/p>\n
The ceremony was held at the barangay gymnasium on March 24, 2025, and was attended by barangay councilors and purok leaders.<\/p>\n
RoBIMS has become an essential tool supporting the barangay\u2019s day-to-day operations. It assists in managing inhabitants\u2019 records, processing document requests from constituents, and generating reports useful to both government and non-government agencies.<\/p>\n
This initiative showcases CIC\u2019s pivotal role in achieving the University\u2019s vision: \u201cto become a premier research university transforming communities in the ASEAN and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n
