The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) proudly marked a significant achievement as it received a prestigious award from the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) for its outstanding dedication to gender equality and women’s empowerment. Recognized for its exceptional management of the 2024 Gender and Development (GAD) budget, USeP ranked 10th among State Universities and Colleges with the highest total GAD budget expenditure and 5th for the highest attributed GAD expenditure. This recognition highlights USeP’s unwavering commitment to effectively allocating resources toward advancing gender-responsive programs and initiatives.

The award ceremony took place on September 25, 2025, at the Crown Plaza, Manila Galleria, Quezon City, where PCW top officials presented the plaque of recognition to USeP. Receiving the award on behalf of the University were Vice President for Administration Dr. Maria Luisa B. Faunillan and GADvocate Dr. Leah O. Pelias. This honor not only celebrates USeP’s achievements but also reinforces its role as a leader in championing gender equality in the academe.
