OBJECTIVES

• To provide a mechanism for catalyzing and accelerating gender mainstreaming in the University toward the promotion of gender equality and equity by conducting client-focused and organization-focused activities.

• To formulate USeP GAD Plans, Programs, and Budget in response to the gender gaps and issues as identified by the stakeholders and constituencies, women and men employees; and

• To facilitate the implementation of the gender mainstreaming efforts of USeP in all of its core functions.

GAD GOALS

1. Mainstream GAD -responsive research, extension, and curricular programs.
2. Capacitate GAD focal point system through GAD capacity development, initiatives and programs.
3. Advocate gender-equality and women’s empowerment among stakeholder.
4. Empower all the university’s stakeholders through GAD advocacies and initiatives on PAPs.
5. Establish gender-responsive linkages and partnerships at the local, national, and international levels.

GAD AGENDA 2025-2030

   1. Improve the roles of women and men in nation-building and development.
   2. Increase awareness on gender-based violence and gender related laws.
   3. Create safe and supportive spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals, teachers, staff, and students.
   4. Increase awareness of gender-based mental health, psychological well-being, and work-life balance.
   5. Increase awareness of the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, its impact on society, and victims.
   6. Integrate Gender Concepts/Lens in instruction, research, and extension.
   7. Promote shared GAD-related advocacies and collaborative initiatives with local, national,
and international partners.
