The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Extension Team successfully conducted the exit meeting for the project, โ๐๐๐ค๐๐ฐ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ฎ๐ค๐๐ฌ๐๐ง: ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ, ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐ฌ,โ at the Peรฑaplata Barangay Hall last February 25, 2026. This marks a significant milestone in its three-year partnership with the ๐๐รฑ๐๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฒ ๐ ๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌ and ๐๐ช๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ข๐ฅ (๐๐ ๐๐๐๐) and the ๐ฅ๐จ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ค ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ. The whole-day affair was graced by key stakeholders pivotal to the projectโs success. ๐๐จ๐ง. ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง ๐. ๐๐รฑ๐๐ญ๐, ๐๐ซ., Barangay Captain of Peรฑaplata, expressed his gratitude for the academic support provided by USeP. Since its inception in 2023, the partnership between ๐๐
๐๐๐๐ and ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ has focused on laying a foundation for longterm, sustainable mangrove propagation and coastline rehabilitation. The projectโs three-year roadmap successfully established a sustainable mangrove nursery, enhanced community capacity to empower local stakeholders, and equipped BFARMC members with the technical skills to manage and protect their marine resources. Additionally, the team developed specialized ๐๐ง๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, and ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง (๐๐๐) materials designed to institutionalize environmental care within the barangay and the broader public.
While this specific project cycle officially wraps up, the gains achieved serve as a powerful launchpad for the next phase of partnership and even deeper environmental initiatives for the shores of IGaCoS.
