The College of Applied Economics proudly congratulates its faculty and student researchers for their participation in the 16th International Seminar on New Paradigm and Innovation on Natural Sciences and its Application (ISNPINSA) 2026, themed “Science for Sustainable Future,” organized by Universitas Diponegoro and held last July 16, 2026, via Zoom Video Conferencing.
CAEc commends the successful presentation and acceptance of the paper of Krizyl Kate Lucasan, together with co-authors Jennifer E. Hinlo, Feby Kristine A. Evangelio, Roperto S. Deluna Jr., and Michael L. Ayala, titled “Application of Copula Modeling in Analyzing Co-Movement of Monetary Policy Rate and Stock Markets in the Philippines,” which contributed to meaningful discussions on monetary policy and financial market behavior in the Philippines.
The College also congratulates Arabela E. Sucaldito, together with co-authors Jennifer E. Hinlo, Ronald D. Estrada, and Rizamae S. Palen, for their paper titled “A Debiased Machine Learning (DML) Approach to Analyzing Household Savings in the Pre- and Post-Pandemic Era in the Philippines,” which contributed to meaningful discussions on household savings behavior and financial resilience in the pandemic and post-pandemic Philippines.
CAEc also recognizes Jessa Mae G. Picato, together with co-authors Jennifer E. Hinlo, Ronald D. Estrada, and Rizamae S. Palen, for their research titled “Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO)-Based Estimation of Insurance Expenditure Behavior in the Philippines,” which contributed to meaningful discussions on financial inclusion and insurance participation among Filipino households.
Further, Lian R. Cataytay, together with co-authors Feby Kirstine A. Evangelio and Roperto S. Deluna Jr., is congratulated for the paper titled “Estimating Land Reform Productivity Effects Using Synthetic Control: Evidence from the Philippines,” which contributed to meaningful discussions on agrarian reform and agricultural productivity in the Philippines.
These accomplishments reflect the dedication, research competence, and scholarly potential of CAEc student researchers in addressing relevant socio-economic and policy issues through evidence-based research.
